GEIA Early Data Bases & Emission Reviews

The GEIA Originals and Emissions Review Table developed in 2013 provides an overview of GEIA data bases and informal emissions reviews developed before 2005.  The table also notes the current location of many of the data bases.  Please note that many of the global data bases and information in the emission reviews have been updated based on newer analyses.  Please contact the original data base developers and emission review authors for recommendations on how best to reference their information or find updates.

The Emission Reviews prepared in 2002-2005 are provided in the following files.

The reviews for  CFC-11, CFC-12, HCFC-22, and Methyl Chloroform include data tables as well as overview explanations of them.

The DMS review includes general information about these emissions and comparisons of several data bases.

The reviews on Nitrous Oxide, Organochlorine Pesticides, and Population and Crops focus on the original GEIA data sets for these.

The reviews on Dry Deposition, Mercury, NOx Soil Emissions, Ocean Shipping, and Radon are more general overviews of these topics.

For a recent summary on Radon, see IAEA / WMO technical report on "Sources and Measurements of Radon and Radon Progeny Applied to Climate and Air Quality Studies"
