Objectives
This component of RCEI had the following objectives:
- To establish a world-wide inventory of reactive chlorine emissions from
- oceanic chlorine emissions (all oceanic regimes, algae)
- terrestrial biogenic chlorine emission (plants, fungi)
for the compounds methyl chloride and methyl chloroform
- To establish 180 1° latitudinal bins for the emissions of chloroform
- To describe emissions of TCE, PCE, and possibly methylene chloride in six latitudinal bands
