Conference Program coming soon!
The Global Emissions InitiAtive (GEIA) is an international community effort that builds bridges between environmental science and policy, by bringing together people, data, and tools to create and communicate the highest quality information about emissions. GEIA seeks to enhance access to emissions data, facilitate analysis to improve the scientific basis for emissions information, and strengthen the emissions community.
Through provocative presentations and robust discussions, the 16th GEIA Conference on 10-11 June 2014 in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, will provide a forum for exploring the role of emissions as a crucial link between scientific innovation and societal development.
The Conference will aim to answer several key questions:
How are recent measurement advancements helping to better quantify emissions?
What are new developments in emissions process understanding?
What are challenges in interpreting past emissions trends and projecting future emissions?
How does improved emissions knowledge inform critical societal issues?
Emissions information developers and users in the research, regulatory, policy, and assessment communities are encouraged to contribute to the Conference. The program will include oral and poster presentation sessions addressing the Conference’s key questions, a town-hall-style discussion of priority emissions information and communication needs, emissions data resource training, and community networking opportunities.
